Possible Doesn’t Mean Easy

Matthew 5:23-24

23 Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;

24 Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.

Your communication (praise, worship, prayer) with God is hindered when you withhold forgiveness.

We are to follow Jesus’ example. Luke 23:34, Jesus forgives those who are about to crucify him.

Then said Jesus, Fatherforgive them; for they know not they do.
   Jesus gave His disciples an example to follow when they prayed, Luke 11:4. You will be forgiven to the extent that you forgive others.
   When I consider my own sin and pain caused by me toward my God, my creator, or people, I can look at what others do differently. Because I desperately want to be forgiven I need to be willing to forgive.
   What seems impossible to us is possible with God. With His help we can. With that said, just because it is possible does not mean it is easy. To accomplish a hard task it may take many attempts. Don’t give up. Keep trying. Whether it is to forgive someone, to help some one or lose weight, keep trying. It will be worth it. 💝

Matthew 19:26

But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

  1. If you find yourself having trouble forgiving someone, make the decision in your mind, that day, or when ever the hurt crosses your mind, today, in my mind I choose to forgive ‘persons name.’ Keep saying it, even if you don’t feel it in your heart. One day you will wake up to find the hurt is less, gone, or maybe you have forgiven them completely. It is worth it. 💪
